The series [alabastros] explores an abstraction of this mineral, playing with the calm tension caused by the contrast between the chance of fluid paint and the claim to control randomness.

The 22k gold cracks have a transcendent base of sacred and symbolist tradition, referring to the practice of kintsugi, which repairs broken ceramics with gold, increasing its value. Part of the Wabi Sabi philosophy, focused on the beauty of imperfection, the scar and the history reflected by the footprint.

I am looking for the organic, raw, mineral and authentic feeling that makes these works so emotionally close, like a sensitive memory of places we have been.

The subtle brilliance of the crystals in the painting are elements of"infralight"reality, a Duchampian concept that refers to beauty in transience and transience. It is a momentary flash of higher reality, it is an instant that we believe we have captured and that has already escaped us and that is incredibly beautiful.
